Faculty Development Program on 'Training in Total Station'

The Department of Civil Engineering, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology conducted Faculty Development Program on “Training in Total Station” on 18th December 2020 at 10.00 am in Surveying Laboratory. The Resource Person Mr. P. Gowtham Ajay – Managing Director, Topographic Land Surveyors, gave a brief introduction in total station.

The faculty members of Civil Engineering Department, Non-teaching staffs and Students attended the FDP. In this faculty learnt how to operate the instruction, temporary and permanent adjustments. The resource person explained the field procedures involved in total station and to record and store the data in the instrument.

A job was created in total station instrument and faculty were trained in traversing, Levelling, Area measurement, Contouring, Topographic Land survey. Office work which is to be done after field observation also was explained by the resource person.
