World Literacy Day- 2021 Celebrations in Konkadai Tribal Village
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, National Service Scheme, and
Swachhta Action Plan of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore has celebrated
“World Literacy
Day- 2021”,
and donated notebooks, stationary and sports items to the students who were in need
at Residential high school, Konkadai village, Erode district , on 08.09.2021.
The students, teachers and parents were enlightened about the importance
of education for a sustainable living. Street classes for tribal residential
students and many sports events were conducted. One Student –One Tree campaign was initiated in
the school campus.
The program was initiated by Dr. K.P.Ramasamy - KPR group, Dr. M. Akila, Principal
of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, Dr.A.M.Natarajan,
CEO, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore.
In the presence of Mr.Nataraj, Director, Sudar foundation, Sathy. Dr.
M.S. Karthikeyan, Overall coordinator, Community services, Dr. P. Anilkumar,
Head, Office of alumni relations and NSS coordinator and Dr. R. Saravanan, UBA
coordinator organised the event. The volunteers for NSS, UBA and SAP helped in
the conduction of the event.
