The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a workshop on “Smart Home Automation System using IoT” on 12/03/2022 exclusively for third year students who have chosen "Home Automation" as an open elective. A heart-warming welcome was delivered by Dr.V.S.Chandrika, AsP, Dept. of EEE. Dr.C.Pazhanimuthu, AP (Sl.G) has delivered valuable presentation on role, importance and protocols for the development of home automation using internet of things. He had presented the discussions on
• Need and importance of home automation using IoT
• Recent technologies in IoT based home automation
• IoT Protocols
• Demonstration of home automation projects
The orientation program provided some of the interesting facts in home automation and IoT implementation to the elective opted students. The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof.C.Dinesh, AP (Sr.G)/ EEE. There were 150 students attended the programme and benefited. The department of EEE thanks the management for providing this opportunity to conduct the orientation program successfully.
