Scale Down model making, Innovation and Sustainable practice solutions

Department of Civil Engineering in association with CNI organised "Miniature By Us" a national level scale down event. The overall event inaugurated at 10:00 AM and the scheduled event had ended at 4:00 PM on the same day. The event comprises of Technical and non technical events including a scale down model making competition, paper presentation, Bridge modelling, CAD contest and non technical events on Reels, Start Music, Connections. The event also includes a expert talk on "Entrepreneurship in Civil Engineering" by Er. A Rajendran MD, AR Fascinates and Shelters Pvt. Ltd, Coimbatore. The Guest delivered the session in-order to provide the knowledge on the recent trends and technologies to be adopted in the entrepreneurship for a successful leading. The event was conducted to identify the talent in the students on their perspective towards scale down model making and sustainable practices adopting SDG goals. The teams justified the said content has been awarded based on the overall performance. The model videos had been uploaded in the civil department Instagram page for the purpose of social media marks. Student coordinators and the Event Coordinators arranged the pre event arrangements on the concern venues before schedule and made the event to get completed on-time. The external participants had presented their technical paper presentation on recent advancements and innovation in construction. The overall outcome of the event was to educate the importance of sustainable practice in construction which relies up on materials used, method of construction, innovation in practice and creative thinking. There were total 129 external participants from 17 colleges. The participants had presented their models on-time on the event date to make the event successful.
