Summary

The programme was organized by Department of Civil Engineering to make the I year Civil Engineering students to aware the facilities and opportunities available in the Department of Civil Engineering, KPRIET.

Mr. S. Yuvaraj, Assistant Professor (Sr.G)/Civil, KPRIET addressed the students on the various internship opportunities available in L&T, AICTE and other government & private sectors. Mrs R Kavitha, Assistant Professor (Sr.G)/Civil explained the scope of Building information modelling in the future and opportunities available through the centre of excellence established in the department. Mr P Kalaivanan, Assistant Professor (Sr.G)/Civil, KPRIET focused on the skills to be developed by the students to get placed in the top MNC companies and elaborated the placement record of previous year and finally Mr S Arivazhagan Assistant Professor (Sl .G.)/Mech, KPRIET explained the usage of models in solving complex engineering problems. Total of 11 faculty members and 77 students attended the programme.
