About me
Dr.J. Prasad, Assistant Professor (Sl.G.), completed his doctorate degree at the Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering, Anna University, Chennai, in December 2020. The aim of his research work is to focus on FPGA-based digital FIR filters using the Vedic multiplier approach for biomedical applications. He did post-graduation in Applied Electronics at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam, in 2008 and graduated in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2005. He was awarded First Class with Distinction in his bachelor's and master's degrees from Anna University, Chennai. He has over 13.10 years of teaching and six years of research experience. During his academic journey, he taught different subjects on electronics and signal processing at the undergraduate level. He has organized and attended different guest lectures, seminars, hands-on workshops, and faculty development programs, along with eleven online courses. He has also supervised over 15 UG projects in bio-signal acquisition, bio-signal processing, image processing, and the IoT domain. He has published 19 international journals, 3 patents, 1 book chapter, and presented papers at national and international conferences. He is a life member of ISTE and the IAENG International Association of Engineers. His research interests include VLSI design, FPGA-based architecture design, and signal processing.
