About

The SC/ST Cell of the Institute is established to promote the welfare, academic advancement, and overall development of students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). The Cell functions to safeguard their interests, address grievances, and ensure equal opportunities in academic and co-curricular activities. It also strives to create an inclusive and supportive environment for both students and staff from these communities.

  1. To collect, review, and maintain updated records of Government of India, State Government, UGC, and AICTE guidelines, policies, and circulars related to the education, welfare, and employment of SC/ST students
  2. To disseminate information regarding scholarships, fellowships, and welfare schemes offered by various government agencies, ensuring timely awareness among eligible students
  3. To facilitate effective communication with SC/ST students and provide guidance for academic progression, career planning, and personal development
  4. To organize awareness programmes, workshops, and counseling sessions to support the academic and professional growth of SC/ST students
  5. To monitor the implementation of welfare measures and ensure that eligible students benefit from institutional and government support systems
  6. To coordinate with institutional authorities to address issues related to SC/ST students and promote an inclusive campus environment
