About me
Dr. R. Maheswar has completed his B.E (ECE) from Madras University in the year 1999, M.E (Applied Electronics) from Bharathiyar University in the year 2002 and Ph.D in the field of Wireless Sensor Network from Anna University in the year 2012. He has received a Post-Doctoral equivalent research work accomplishment from Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain, for successful collaborative research outcomes from November 2021 to October 2022 in the area of Wireless Sensor Network through online mode. He has about 22 years of teaching experience at various levels and presently holding the responsibility as Director In-Charge in the Centre for Research and Development, Head – Centre for IoT and AI (CITI) as well as Professor in the Department of ECE, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, India. Prior to KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, he was associated as Dean - Research and Dean - School of EEE at VIT Bhopal University for 3 years. His research interest includes Wireless Sensor Network, IoT, Queueing theory and Performance Evaluation. He has also been recognized as a visiting researcher at University of Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. He has involved as a project investigator in the India–Iran Inter-Governmental Programme of Cooperation in Science and Technology, a bilateral project sponsored by DST and received grants around 20 Lakhs from various Government funding agencies. He has produced 7 Ph.D scholars and presently supervising 5 Ph.D scholars. He has published around 106 papers at International Journals and Conferences and also published 4 patents in the field of Sensors & IoT. He is presently an Associate Editor in Alexandria Engineering Journal, Elsevier, Wireless Networks Journal , Springer, IET Electronics Letters, IET Networks and Journal of Sensors, Hindawi. He has served as guest editor for Wireless Networks Journal - Springer, WCMC - Hindawi, IJAHUC - Inderscience, MDPI - Energies and completed 4 special issues as Lead Guest Editor. He has also been serving as a review board member for peer reviewed journals. He has authored a book titled, "Received Signal Strength Based Target Localization and Tracking Using Wireless Sensor Networks”, EAI/Springer Innovations in Communications and Computing (ESICC), a scopus indexed Springer book series and also edited 10 books supported by Springer, Wiley, MDPI and Inderscience. He has acted as an Advisory Committee and Review Committee Member for various International Conferences including ICAN 2023 / ICAN 2022 / SIET 2022 / ICICES 2021 / ICAN 2021 / ICAN 2020 / ICIEEE 2019. He has delivered numerous expert talks on "Wireless Sensor Networks" and various research talks on "Networking and Collaborative Research" at reputed institutions. He has received the "Best Faculty Award" consecutively for two years from Sri Krishna College of Technology, Coimbatore and also a member in IEEE and lifetime member of ISTE.
