GUEST LECTURE BY INDUSTRIAL EXPERT, KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

Department of Chemical Engineering and IIChE student chapter jointly organized a guest lecture on 07th September, 2023 by Mr. Ravi Ramasamy, Director, Pragna Consultant on “Introduction to Chemical Engineering Skill Development”. He delivered lecture on Our Students from Final year and Second year and it was found that the session to be helpful and learned how to develop their technical and personal skills to meet their placement requirements. He discussed about the objective of Skill development

1.      Provide practical knowledge to the students, build confidence and to make them competitive and employable

2.      Learn the overview of Industry and best practices

3.      Understand the expectations from the Industry

4.      Impart safe practices and social obligations such as Process Safety and ESG

5.      Enhance Skills and knowledge to Operators & Engineers

It was a great pleasure to have an Industry expert for the guest lecture. There were around 100+ participants including faculty members and students. The session was very interesting and interactive. The Head of the department honored the guest with a gift. Ms. Rithika of Final year has given the introduction about the speaker. We thank him for taking the time to deliver such an informative session.
