Summary

A National Level Technical Symposium named ‘Yantrik-23’ was organized by Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA) on 11.10.2023 and 12.10.2023. The inauguration of the conducted on 11.10.2023 at 9.30 a.m. in Thanam Hall, KPRIET. The programme was started with the prayer song followed by the KPR Anthem. Then, Mr. S. Vigneshwaran, Secretary/MEA welcomed the gathering. Dr. S. Ramesh Babu, Head of the Department, Mechanical Engineering delivered the inaugural address. In his address, he motivated the students to empower themselves with the skills-in-demand to become successful in their career. Dr. M. Ramasamy, Principal has presided over the function and delivered presidential address. He motivated the students to learn the new technologies and requested to be a lifelong learner to lead a successful life.  Followed by Mr. N. M. Chandranath, President/MEA introduced the office bearers of the MEA to the gathering. After the inspiring introduction of the chief guest, the chief guest of the function, Mr. K. Jayakumar, Director – Operations, LPT, Coimbatore has addressed the gathering. He motivated the participants by sharing his experience and the challenges he faced during his journey. He also advised the students to make themselves strong in core subjects to get placements in top mechanical core industries. Finally, Mr. Gokul, Executive member of MEA proposed the vote of thanks. The symposium was organized with six technical and three non-technical events. The technical events are paper presentation, Mr. Mechanic, water rocketry, and workshops on EV, NDT & 3D printing. The non-technical events are photography, command the blind and treasure hunt. Paper presentation, Mr. Mechanic, workshops on NDT, and command the blind were conducted on the first day. Water rocketry, workshops on EV & 3D printing, photography and treasure hunt were conducted on the second day. The participants were participated enthusiastically, and the cash prizes were given to the prize winners.
