The inauguration of the AIChE KPRIET Students Chapter on August 10, 2024, was a momentous occasion that brought together students, faculty, and industry professionals to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in chemical engineering education at KPRIET. The event was graced by Ms. Nitu Joseph, Co-Founder of Declutter Solutions, Coimbatore, who served as the Chief Guest. Ms. Nitu shared her vast experiences in the energy and environmental sectors, offering valuable insights that inspired the students to consider entrepreneurship as a viable and impactful career path.
The event commenced with a welcome address, followed by a video presentation that highlighted the essential role of chemical engineering in addressing global challenges and the mission of AIChE. Dr. S. Balasubramanian, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, provided a comprehensive introduction to the AIChE KPRIET Students Chapter, outlining its goals and the benefits it offers to students. Ms. Varshini, the Student President, presented the annual report for the academic year 2023-2024, showcasing the chapter's achievements and laying out a vision for the upcoming year. Her report highlighted the active involvement of students and the progress made since the chapter's inception.
