Summary

Centre for Foreign Languages and the KPR Japanese Forum had the honour of hosting Mr. Nobuara Matsubara-san, CEO -WeStyle Co. Ltd., Maruta Takayuki-san, Division Manager, WeStyle Co. Ltd., Hiro Ishida-san, Founder, Mosaique Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Praneeth Balasubramaniam, Software Engineer, WeStyle Co. Ltd. The gathering was addressed and welcomed by Mr. Bharath V M - Vice President KPR Japanese Forum. The guests were honoured by Dr. R Saranya, Head, CFL.

Mr. Matsubara-san presented about WeStyle Co. Ltd. and explained the hiring process, work-life balance and various opportunities in Japan for engineering graduates. The key takeaway of the interactive session was to improve the skill sets that align with their passion irrespective of the discipline they belong to. Additionally, Matsubara-san also talked about their employment engagement initiatives and their upskilling programs for their employees.  

Following the presentation, the KPR Japanese Forum had the investiture ceremony, marking the official positions being taken up by the 2nd year students. The following students were appointed with the respective positions;

Vishal Kannan S I, II EEE – Secretary

Shreya S, II CSBS – Secretary

The Guests honoured the new office bearers with their official badges and wished them success for their future endeavours. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mr. Salem Noel D – Secretary KPR Japanese Forum.

The event concluded with a chat session  held in the Centre for Foreign Languages, where the students interacted with the guests on Japanese culture, opportunities for higher studies and employment followed by an interaction with the Principal, Dr. D Saravanan where students were able to showcase their Japanese proficiency.
