Every year, over 1.4 lakh people are killed in road accidents in India, with many more maimed and permanently incapacitated. Youth between the ages of 15 and 24 account for 33% of all deaths. People who drive in an unprofessional manner were encouraged with flowers and chocolates to employ road safety measures and respect traffic rules. The participants held signs emphasising the significance of road safety and the dangers posed by autos. As a part of the ACI India chapter activity , Department of Civil Engineering, in association with the Office of Admission, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, jointly organized the road safety awareness drive for Vagaranpallayam school students at 10.00 a.m. on 26th July 2022 (Tuesday), through ACI member students. It is a part of an Institute social responsibility activity.
