The program was organized by Civil Engineering Association to make the students aware of the World Skill Competition. A detailed presentation provided participants with insights into the history, mission, and vision of the World Skill Competitions.
Mr. S. Elavarasan, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering has welcomed the gathering and initiated the programme. He also welcomed the resource person of the program Mr. S. Yuvaraj, Assistant Professor (Sr.G), Department of Civil Engineering, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore.
Mr. S. Yuvaraj, Assistant Professor (Sr.G) addressed the students on the various competitions available for civil engineering students in the World Skills competition and explained the importance of learning a skill. Mr. S. Yuvaraj focused on the skills to be developed by the students to win the competition. He also shared the selection methods & upcoming WorldSkills 2022 event held in Shanghai. Participants received a comprehensive briefing on the competition format, including the structure of tasks, evaluation criteria, and scoring system.Information about available resources, mentorship programs, and support systems was shared to empower participants and enhance their preparation
A total of 3 faculty and 86 students attended the program.
