Our CSE department organized an event"From Research to Publication: Navigating the Journal Selection Process" on December 4, 2024, in the CSE Boardroom to guide researchers, especially early-career ones, on the intricacies of selecting suitable journals for their research work. Faculty and postgraduate students actively participated in the session.
Dr. Maheswar R, Head of CFRD, was the chief guest. He addressed fundamental concerns and clarified doubts related to journal selection and publication. Dr. Maheswar R explained the process of journal selection and highlighted useful websites for exploring journals and their impact factors.
The professor also provided a brief overview of key aspects such as time-to-publication, peer-review processes, plagiarism, data integrity, and ethical guidelines. Additionally, he cautioned participants about common pitfalls like self-citations.
