Summary
Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September. The UN General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire. A total of 62 Student Leaders from Students Affair came forward to observe the International Peace Day which is celebrated on 21st of Sep every year. The main aim of the event is to take forward the peace and justices to the younger generation, which is need of the hour. This year the UN observed the International Peace Day with a theme " End racism and build peace ". The student volunteers prepared a pledge on the occasion which covers various initiatives taken by the UN, The Govt. of India and our college. All the students volunteers reported to all 62 class room (all 2nd years, 3rd years and final years) during the mentor hour on 21st sep 2022. All students in the class along with the mentors in the class repeated the pledge read by the student leaders. Students also insisted on the need of peace, justice with human values mentioning leaders who have fought for the peace and justice in India and also in the world. The event was co ordinated by Mr. P. Ravi kumar, Asst. Professor, Dept. of EEE and Head / Student Affairs, Ms. Suganya, Asst. Prof., Dept. of CSE and In-Charge / Student Affairs and Dr. K. Kamaraj, Associate Professor, Dept. of cSE and Head / NDC and Sustainability Development Committee.
