Work shop on Antenna Design, Fabrication and Testing, KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

On March 14, 2025, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in collaboration with IETE and Spartranz, organized a workshop on "Antenna Design, Fabrication, and Testing" as part of Fiestaa'25. Coordinated by Assistant Professors Dr. J. Prasad and Mr. Jakir Hussain G.K., the Department Association Faculty Coordinators, and under the guidance of Prof. Seethalakshmi V, the Faculty In-Charge, the workshop aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications in antenna technology.

The primary objective of this workshop was to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of antenna design, fabrication, and testing. It introduced fundamental concepts, various antenna types, and real-world applications while equipping students with practical skills essential for careers in wireless communication, radar, and satellite systems.

With over 210 participants from various colleges, the workshop provided a comprehensive and immersive learning experience. Students gained a deeper understanding of antenna fundamentals, different antenna types, and critical performance parameters such as gain, radiation pattern, and bandwidth. Additionally, they had the opportunity to visit the Smart Antenna Lab in the ECE department, enhancing their understanding through practical exposure. The workshop on Antenna Design, Fabrication, and Testing provided an enriching learning experience, equipping students with essential knowledge. The event successfully fostered technical curiosity and encouraged participants to explore advancements in antenna technology.
