The Department of Civil Engineering, KPRIET, organized a GATE Orientation Session on 28th July 2025 at IV CE Classroom, exclusively for II, III, and Final Year B.E./B.Tech students.The resource person for the session was Mr. P. Manobharath, M.Tech, NIT Trichy, an accomplished alumnus of the department and a successful GATE scorer. The session aimed to motivate and guide students in preparing for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) by sharing real-life preparation strategies, effective time management techniques, subject prioritization tips, and reliable study resources. Mr. Manobharath elaborated on his preparation journey, from undergraduate studies at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology to securing admission into M.Tech at NIT Trichy, highlighting the importance of consistent practice, mock tests, and stress management. The interactive Q&A segment allowed students to clarify doubts regarding balancing academic commitments with GATE preparation, syllabus coverage, and career prospects through GATE.
