The one-day workshop titled “Animate Your Ideas: Motion Study and Animation with Fusion”, organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering on 01.11.2025, provided valuable technical exposure to participating students and faculty from various institutions. The program enabled participants to understand the fundamentals of motion study and the practical application of animation tools using Autodesk Fusion. Through live demonstrations and hands-on activities, participants gained insights into converting conceptual ideas into realistic motion simulations, improving design visualization and functional analysis skills. The session, handled by Dr. M. Makeshkumar, Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering, effectively bridged the gap between theoretical design concepts and industry-oriented digital practices. The workshop enhanced participants’ proficiency in CAD-based animation, encouraged creative thinking in product design, and strengthened their ability to analyze mechanisms virtually before physical prototyping. Overall, the workshop contributed significantly to skill development, interdisciplinary learning, and industry-readiness among the attendees.
