MACHINE LEARNING: THE TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES, KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

The session was started by Welcoming Mr. D. Gokul, Deep Learning Engineer, VVDN Technologies, Coimbatore, and an Alumni of KPRIET by Coordinator Mr. R.Sivaramakrishnan AP(Sr.G)/CSE. The Alumni Lecture series consists of II-year students from CSE. Mr. D. Gokul started addressing the gatherings by introducing himself with his domain expertise and the core project he is undergoing at present. He delivered about What is Machine Learning, its applications, tool, and technique. Machine learning (ML) is a field of inquiry devoted to understanding and building methods that 'learn', that is, methods that leverage data to improve performance on some set of tasks. ML Tools are
1.     TensorFlow
2.     PyTorch
3.     Google Cloud ML Engine
4.     Skicit Learn.
Techniques of ML are Supervised, Semi-Supervised and Unsupervised. He presented a PowerPoint presentation to make it more sense for visualizing one of the Machine Learning applications, Face Recognition in Mobile phones to unlock instead of fingerprints and swipe method. In addition to this, he also stated the best-suited application for machine Learning, Attendance Monitoring by Eye Readings, or just crossing the camera (Video Recording) to ensure attendance by physical presence. The session moved on in two-way communication mode. Students well interacted with their Senior to know about his industry experience and the area in which he is working. The session was concluded with a Vote of Thanks given by Coordinator Ms.M.Janani AP / CSE. Finally, to cherish the moment of an Alumni back in his college the gift was given by Mr. R.Sivaramakrishnan AP(Sr.G) / CSE to M.D.Gokul.
