WEBINAR ON "RESEARCH PROPOSAL WRITING", KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

The Dept. of EEE organized a webinar on "Research Proposal Writing" and invited Prof. R C Bansal as the resource person to deliver the webinar. This is the first meeting of Prof. Bansal with the faculties of the EEE Dept after he was appointed as the Hon. Prof. of Dept. of EEE.
The event was organized via Google Meet on 12.11.2022 from 10.00 AM to 11.00 AM. It was attended by 24 faculty members.
Dr. Rakesh and Dr. Pandian welcomed the resource person, and the HOD had a brief introduction about the Dept. It was also a good opportunity for all the faculties to interact with Prof. Bansal and introduce each of them. Prof. Bansal understood the research areas of each faculty. Some of the prominent research areas identified were power system, power electronics, and renewable energy. During the meeting, faculties also discussed about how to approach comments received for their research papers. Prof. Bansal shared that for papers dealing with power electronics, it is necessary to have hardware results and reviewers as well as editors look for the same. Power Systems usually deal with large power and simulation focussed. So the approach towards both these research field needs to be carried out in a different way.
This introductory meeting will be followed by a series of other lectures/meetings to enhance the research profile of the Dept. There is also a possibility of Prof. Bansal visiting during vacation time and the same was discussed during the meeting to facilitate.
