AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AT WORKPLACE, KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

This programme has been organized by Internal Complaints Committee, Student Affiars & Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) for all students and faculty members. The programme is started with KPR Anthem and Ms.Sharmitha, 1st Year ECE student have initiated the program with Tamil Thai Valthu.  Dr.D.Sharmila, CoE gave the welcome address with great introduction of this event. She has introduced all the members of ICC. Further, Online Complaints management system I-Box has explained in details for audience by Dr.V.Parimala, AP(Sl.G)/EEE.  Dr.D.Sharmila, CoE felicitated the chief guest with shawl and memento. Chief Guest Dr. K. Mangayarkarasi, Assistant Professor, Department of Women’s Studies, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore was addressed the students along with faculty members on Elimination of Violence against Women at Workplace. She has elaborately discussed about the workplace violence and various act followed in india. The students raised their queries and it is well clarified by the resource person. This session was more useful for KPRIETians and created a very good awareness on Elimination of Violence against Women at Workplace. 134 students and 5 faculty members attended this event with effective manner. The vote of thanks given by Dr.V.Parimala, AP(Sl.G)/EEE. Finally, the programme has ended with national anthem.
