Department of Biomedical Engineering organized an expert talk on 'Engineering Perspectives on Critical Care Equipment' on 18.04.2026. This session aimed at improving participantsβ knowledge and practical skills in handling life-support devices used in intensive care units. The sessions combined theoretical explanations with hands-on demonstrations, allowing participants to understand the working principles, operational procedures, and clinical applications of each device. Real-time simulations and case-based discussions enhanced their ability to respond effectively to emergency situations like cardiac arrest and respiratory failure. Overall, the event achieved its objective of strengthening clinical competence, promoting safe equipment handling, and improving preparedness for critical care scenarios, with recommendations for more frequent and advanced training programs in the future.
