The awareness program successfully enhanced the participants' understanding of the NBA First Year Documentation Process and the significance of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) in accreditation. Faculty members gained clarity on maintaining systematic course documentation, preparing evidence for NBA compliance, mapping Course Outcomes (COs) with Program Outcomes (POs), and implementing best practices in assessment and record keeping. The session encouraged uniform documentation practices across first-year departments and strengthened the institution's readiness for NBA accreditation.
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology organized an Awareness Program on "NBA for First Year Documentation Process" on 04 August 2026 at 10:00 AM in the MBA Board Room, Mythreyi Block. The session was delivered by Dr. B. Jaishankar, Professor and Head, Department of VLSI.
The resource person explained the objectives of NBA accreditation, the principles of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and the documentation requirements for first-year courses. The session covered CO-PO mapping, attainment calculations, course file preparation, assessment records, evidence collection, and best practices for maintaining academic documentation in accordance with NBA guidelines. Faculty members actively participated in the interactive discussion and clarified their queries related to documentation and accreditation processes.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks, and the participants appreciated the informative session, which will contribute to maintaining high-quality academic documentation and strengthening the institution's NBA accreditation efforts.
