The Faculty Development Programme on Design Thinking was successfully conducted from 20 to 22 July 2026. Faculty members actively participated in all the sessions, activities, and group discussions. They gained knowledge about the Design Thinking process, empathy, problem identification, brainstorming, ideation, and solution development. Participants also presented innovative solutions to real-world problems and successfully completed the programme assessment. The FDP improved their creativity, problem-solving ability, teamwork, and presentation skills.
The Department of General Engineering, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, organized a Three-Day Faculty Development Programme on "Design Thinking" from 20 to 22 July 2026 at CARE Studio.
The programme included expert sessions on the fundamentals of Design Thinking, empathy mapping, journey mapping, stakeholder analysis, brainstorming, ideation, problem framing, and practical application of Design Thinking tools. Participants actively took part in group activities, case studies, and discussions throughout the programme.
On the final day, participants presented solutions for real-world problems by applying the Design Thinking process. Their performance was evaluated through an MCQ Test (25 Marks), Activity (25 Marks), and Presentation (50 Marks).
The programme concluded with a feedback session and certificate distribution. Overall, the FDP was informative, interactive, and helped faculty members develop innovative thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
