The Department of School Education – Sulur Zone Bharathiar Day / Republic Day Games 2026–2027 was successfully conducted at KPR Kalaiarangam (Sanskrit Auditorium), KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, from 10.08.2026 to 13.08.2026, with the Athletics events held at KPR Sports Complex on 17.08.2026.
The event was organized by KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology in association with Government Higher Secondary School, Irugur. Approximately 1,720 students from 63 schools participated in Chess, Table Tennis, Carrom, Silambam, Taekwondo and Athletics.
The competitions were conducted smoothly with active participation, discipline and sportsmanship among the students. The event provided a valuable platform to identify and encourage young sporting talents.
Overall, the tournament was successfully conducted as per schedule, with the effective cooperation and coordination of the organizers, officials, Physical Education teachers, coaches, volunteers and participating schools.
