The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Communication Strategies for Effective Teaching” was successfully conducted with active participation from faculty members. The programme enhanced participants’ understanding of effective verbal and non-verbal communication, classroom interaction, active listening, questioning techniques, and student engagement strategies. Faculty members gained practical insights into adapting communication styles to different learner needs and creating a positive classroom environment. Interactive sessions, discussions, and activities provided opportunities to apply the concepts in teaching situations. The FDP encouraged participants to reflect on their existing communication practices and identify areas for improvement. Overall, the programme strengthened teaching communication skills and contributed to more effective, engaging, and learner-centred classroom practices.
