The Department of General Engineering, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, organized a Faculty Upskilling Programme titled “Facilitating Self Exploration: Interactive Classroom Practices for Universal Human Values” on 13 August 2026 at CAC Hall, Chanakya Block. The programme was conducted from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM with the objective of enhancing faculty members’ understanding of self-exploration and strengthening their ability to integrate Universal Human Values into classroom teaching through interactive and reflective methods.
The session featured Dr. Subramanian, Assistant Professor, Department of Engineering Physics, and Dr. Sudha, Associate Professor, Department of Engineering Chemistry, as resource persons. They emphasized the importance of self-awareness, human aspirations, and value-based living in education. Through engaging discussions and participatory activities, the speakers guided faculty members to explore the role of values in shaping attitudes, behavior, and interpersonal relationships.
Participants actively involved themselves in reflective exercises that encouraged deeper understanding of harmony within oneself and with others. The programme also highlighted practical strategies for creating student-centered, value-oriented learning environments that foster holistic development.
The session concluded successfully, leaving faculty members with meaningful insights and actionable approaches to promote Universal Human Values in their teaching practices, thereby contributing to the development of ethically grounded and socially responsible students.
