The interactive session provided participants with valuable insights into the emerging concepts and applications of circular chemistry and sustainable technologies for addressing global environmental and resource challenges. The session emphasized the transition from a linear “take–make–dispose” model towards circular approaches that promote resource efficiency, waste valorization, reuse, recycling, and the development of sustainable materials and processes.
Participants gained an understanding of how principles of green chemistry, bio-based materials, renewable resources, and circular economy approaches can be integrated into research and industrial practices. The discussion highlighted opportunities to convert waste and by-products into value-added products, reduce dependence on fossil-based resources, and minimize environmental impact throughout the life cycle of products and processes.
