SIH IdeaForge – Forging Ideas into Winning Solutions was conducted on 17 September 2026 through online mode to encourage students to develop innovative, practical, and technology-driven solutions for real-world challenges and prepare for the Smart India Hackathon (SIH).

The session featured Mr. Hariharan V, Founder and CEO of Space Zee Tech, as the resource person. He shared insights into identifying real-world problems, developing innovative solutions, assessing technical feasibility, and transforming initial ideas into practical applications.

During the session, four problem-solving ideas were discussed, encouraging students to explore technological approaches to address societal and industrial challenges. One of the problem statements discussed was “AI-Based Intelligent Video Analytics Platform for Border Surveillance using Existing CCTV Infrastructure.” This problem statement focused on exploring the application of artificial intelligence and intelligent video analytics to enhance border surveillance by utilizing existing CCTV infrastructure.

The discussion emphasized the importance of problem identification, innovation, technical feasibility, and practical implementation while developing solutions for hackathon competitions. Students were encouraged to refine their ideas, evaluate possible approaches, and consider the real-world applicability of their proposed solutions.

The event promoted creative thinking, critical analysis, teamwork, and innovation among students. It also provided valuable guidance to help participants strengthen their ideas and prepare for the Smart India Hackathon.
