On 14th Feb 2023 Department of Civil Engineering organized an event "Industry Connect" an interaction between experienced civil engineers and budding civil engineers in association with CNI. Dr. S. Kanmani Associate professor, Department of Civil Engineering, had welcomed all the member engineers from Coimbatore and presented the welcome speech on behalf of Civil Engineering department. Dr. M. Akila, Principal, KPRIET gave the presidential address. Dr. R. Saravanakumar gave a presentation about KPRIET. Dr. G. Anusha, Head of the Department, Department of Civil Engineering gave the presentation on the achievements of Civil Engineering Department. Mrs. R. Kavitha, Assistant Professor(Sr.G) gave a presentation about special lab - BIM. Mr. Mohamed Ameen, II Civil B had welcomed the Experienced engineers and experts for the students interaction. The event chief guest Er. R. Ramakrishnan, B.E, President, Coimbatore Civil Engineers Association had gave the Chief guest address. The session then started with discussion on the entrepreneurial opportunities and how to achieve a good position as young Civil Engineers. Er. G. Ganesh, Past President, COCENA, gave a brief knowledge sharing about structural engineering and its aspects in real time. Er. M. K. Anand, Student Chapter & Technical Committee Chairman, COCENA, had elaborated how a student should be trained from education to employment and provided a platform to discuss the point or questions among the engineers. The question and answer session was great and the experienced engineers answered all the questions posted by the young minds. Mr. Avinesh. S, II Civil A, had gave the vote of thanks.
