Transport, KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore has made safe and secure arrangement of transport facility for students and KPR employees. The transport facility is available from Periyanaikenpalayam, Sundarapuram, Perur, Cheranmaanagar, Vadavalli, Karamadai, Pollachi, Tiruppur Municipality, Periyandipalayam Pirivu, Nallur, Periyar Colony, Koothampalayam, Mettupalayam Pirivu, Gobi, Puliampatti, Udumalpet, Mahaliyamman Kovil, Thindal. All the buses reach the campus by 8:25 am (Approximately) and leave the Campus by 4:30 pm (Approximately) or as per scheduled activities / events in the College.

  • The transport facility is arranged for the day scholars on payment basis
  • Transport facility is for full academic year and it is optional for day scholars
  • Allotment is purely based on first come first serve basis who abide the Office of Transport rules and regulations
  • The office of Transport reserves the rights to frame, revoke, amend, and enforce the rules and regulations which deem fit and it would be updated in the college website
  • The office of Transport has complete authority to inspect personal belongings at any time during transit, inside or outside the college
  • The office of Transport rights to deny transport facility to any students on the grounds of misconduct/Indiscipline
  • Use of any kind of intoxicants (like Drugs, Smoking, Drinking) Gambling, Playing Cards, Photography (without permission) etc., are strictly prohibited during transit. Students involved in any such act shall be liable for STRICT disciplinary action
  • The Office of Transport is not responsible for the theft/loss of personal belongings during travel
  • Students must reach their college bus stop at least 5 minutes before the scheduled departure of the college bus
  • Boarding is entirely at their risk of availing transport facility. The Office of Transport does not own any type of compensation of any nature whatsoever
  • In case of breakdown due to mechanical fault / any reason, alternate arrangements shall be made with no charges
  • Students are assigned with predetermined routes and pick up points as laid down by the Office of Transport. The same shall be subject to change from time to time
  • Travellers are instructed to occupy the bus seat 5 minutes before the departure from College campus
  • If any students found travelling in the bus without paying the transport fee are liable to fine upto Rs.1000 for first time and if repeated, student shall be assumed as regular traveller and charged semester transport fee plus fine
  • Students are instructed to carry the Transport ID card during transit else a fine of Rs.200 will be imposed each time
  • Students are liable to pay for any damage caused by them to the transport vehicle or property therein either alone or jointly with others. In addition disciplinary action could also be initiated against them
  • Hostellers are not permitted to use college bus unless they have been specifically authorized by the Office of Transport
  • Hooting, clapping, singing, loud talking or music (Earphone music is permitted) including celebrations are not allowed in college bus.
  • In case of any violations in rules and regulations instructed from Office of Transport, penalty in form of fine or cancellation of bus pass may be imposed on the students
  • Lost or stolen ID card can be re-issued on payment of Rs.200

  • Transport facility allocation is purely online
  • Students will be able to choose the route number from the available options only
  • Seat is allotted on the basis of availability in the bus
  • The allotment of seat is restricted to that particular academic session only
  • Before EVERY Academic year, bus seat shall be allotted online to students subject to clearance of pending dues, if any
  • Students are not permitted to change Bus route on their own. Strict disciplinary action shall be initiated against defaulters
  • Student has to carry bus route allocation letter/fee receipt while coming to campus first time
  • Transport ID card will be issued to student on submission of route allocation letter along with undertaking duly signed by parents/guardians in the Office of Transport

  • Transport Fees is charged Academic year wise i.e., on annual basis and the same shall be deposited in the month of June, every year
  • The students (applicable for final years) undergoing Industrial training can deposit one-semester fees with the prior approval from concerned HoD
  • The fee can be paid either online mode or through cash
  • Students are expected to pay full transport fee. Partial payments/Instalments would not be entertained
  • Transport fee once paid will not be refunded / adjusted except for the student who leaves the course during the first semester only
  • Fee is non-refundable, if the transport is withdrawn on grounds of violation of rules & regulations
  • Transport charges are subjected to revision every year

  • Validity of the bus pass is from July to June next year
  • In case the transport fee is deposited for one semester - it will be valid from July to December or January to June. (Applicable only for final year placed / Intern students
  • In special cases, validity may be reviewed at the discretion of the College Management due to restructuring of course duration
  • It is mandatory for students to submit UNDERTAKING duly signed by parents / guardian
  • Once the Transport Fee is deposited, student cannot change the route without prior permission from the Office of Transport
  • New Transport ID card with changed route and address will be issued upon consent from the parents/guardian along with payment of Rs.100
  • Transport ID card cannot be transferred from one person to another. The bus pass owner must be the sole user of the pass. Transferring or sharing of a pass is prohibited. If such activity occurs, both participating parties’ transport privileges will be revoked. Office of Transport has right to cancel passes due to misuse
  • Transport ID card may not be reproduced or altered. The use of reproduced or altered pass is a violation of these regulations and will result in punitive action
  • Passes may not be sold, exchanged, given away or purchased from any person or agency other than Office of Transport

Admission

  • Student can enrol through https://admin.kpriet.ac.in/ao/hostel-transport
  • Student can choose their route and boarding point from the available options only
  • Transport facility allocation is based on seat availability in the selected route
  • Student can confirm their route after fee payment in account section
  • Student should collect the transport ID card in the Office of Transport by submitting the downloaded transport application form duly signed by parent / guardian and receipt

Cancellation

  • Students can give the cancel request through https://admin.kpriet.ac.in/ao/hostel-transpor
  • The cancellation request is accepted during the end of academic year only, subject to clearance of pending dues, if any
  • The cancellation is approved after returning the transport ID card in the Office of Transport
