  • Financial assistantship is available for Full Time Ph.D students in the form of teaching assistantship or research assistantship.
  • Teaching assistantship: The students under this plan are expected to help the instructors in various courses for the smooth running of the course.
  • Research assistantship: The students under this plan are expected to help the faculty members in various research projects. They may be assigned limited academic duties.
  • Special research assistantships are available for system administration and development of the institute IT system. This option is available to Ph.D scholars with background and a flair for systems. The students are expected to assist design, plan, and execute IT-related tasks. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience in system administration.
  • Only full-time regular students are eligible for assistantships and scholarships.
  • The teaching/research assistantship carries with it a stipend, but also has responsibilities for some academic work. The assistantship has three components
  • Sclarship: This part of the assistantship is for good scholarship and will be continued as long as the student maintains defined academic performance (and remains a full time student).
  • The financial support continuation shall be contingent upon the performance in academics and the assigned academic/administrative duties and will be reviewed every semester.
  • All candidates applying for this fellowship have to appear for an interview conducted by the Research committee and those who qualify will be offered a fellowship of Rs. 20,000/- p.m. for a period of three years. Scholars with a valid GATE score will get an additional stipend of Rs. 5,000/- per month for a period of three years.
  • Research internship will be provided for the students belong to Science and Engineering stream with minimal fee

Conferences



A two day virtual International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communication, Automation and Biomedical Technology (ICACCABT- 2020) was organized by KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore during December 11-12, 2020.The Inaugural and the first day session was marked by the presence of Dr. Sri Devi Ravana from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. Dr.M. Akila, the principal of KPRIET, the general chair of ICACCABT gave the inaugural address in the presence of Dr.A.M. Natarajan, the Chief Executive of the institute felicitating the event. During her detailed inaugural address, Dr. Akila, the Principal highlighted that the focus area of the conference was computing, communication, automation and biomedical technologies. She declared that 220 research papers were received in total globally of which after a critical scrutiny, 154 papers were selected for presentation in the conference. She also asserted that the presentation of research papers happened over 12 parallel technical sessions.

Dr. M.G. Sumithra, Head, Centre for Research and Development welcomed the national and international participants and Dr. K.S. Tamilselvan, Head, Centre for Innovation and Development proposed the vote of thanks.

The second day of this international event was a dissertation by Dr. Sudarshan N.Raman, Associate Professor in Civil Engineering, Monash University, Malaysia. The successful multidisciplinary conference was arranged by the Centre for Research and Development (CFRD) of KPRIET.

Financial assistantship is available for Full Time Ph.D. students in the form of teaching assistantship or research assistantship.
