The Department of Information Technology, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, organised a webinar on 'App development Demystified – Master the art of learning from scratch' by resource person Ms.Swathy Bhaskar, Software Developer and bug hunter on 08-07-2023. It serves as an opening session for the students who would like build their career as an App developer. She provides insights on Dart, frameworks, android studio and flutter for the students. The session also underlines the importance of learning languages with high platform portability. The real-time examples provided by the speaker to make students to understand about frameworks makes the session informative and interactive. The overall view of official android developers’ website is presented. The guidelines for using flutter to develop a cross platform and native applications in a faster way with inexpensive developing tools are presented. Google developed Flutter, a cross-platform software development kit (SDK) for building mobile applications. To create apps for Android and iOS devices, Flutter employs the Dart programming language. A single code base may be used to create apps with a native look and feel on both Android and iOS devices because it is cross-platform. Flutter is strong and dependable, providing limitless creative opportunities to swiftly create stunning applications. The development cycle on Flutter is swift due to its capabilities and architectural choices, making it appropriate for creating complicated apps and games as well as speedy MVPs and prototypes. It is also recommended for the students to learn the language called “kotlin” in order to shine as a successful android developer.
