The event was a grand success with involved the active participation of the 10 students for both speech and poetry. Among the 10 participants there was a few foreign students also participated. In the beginning, we had only a handful of participants but looking at their performance, the audience registered on spot and gave their best. It was really a great experience and its outcome was something unexpected. The participants gave us a hard time in declaring the winners with their fluency in the language, depth in their talk and the power in their speech. Poetry was also not so easy. One had written a very meaningful poem whereas the other had it in a rhyming sing-song manner.Poetry was conducted with an open theme, yet the participants showed us that “Every drop counts!” They gave us a hard time in choosing the winner if exaggerated. The active involvement that the participants had shown us is what made the competitions a grand success. It was really great to experience all of their works and the happiest part is that even though the participation count was less, all the participants gave their fullest and at last, the below winners were declared.The winners were selected by our beloved chief guest, Ms.Indradevi Mam on the basis of their fluency, quality of the content, use of examples and their way of expressing their content. As for the Poetry competition, the winner was chosen by his way of framing the sentence, his emotion in the poem and the quality of the content.
