An awareness programme on Gender equality and fundamental rights has been conducted by the Equal opportunity cell for the KPRIET students and Faculties in Ragam hall KPRIET at 2.30 pm on 13th December 2022. For this programme Mr. Madhivanan M.A.,B.L Advocate and Mediator in District Court , Coimbatore district and Dr. K. Mangayarkarasi, Assistant Professor, Department of Women's Studies, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore were the resource persons. Nearly 300 students were attended this programme. Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari, Assistant Professor (SL.G), Department of Physics, KPRIET welcomed the gathering. Mr. Madhivanan discussed many points like what is gender equality? Causes for decline of awareness on fundamental fights. Benefits of having an awareness on fundamental rights and gender equality. Responsibility of every individual in a relationship and in society. And he also discussed about the Fear and ignorance are responsible for lack of awareness on fundamental rights. Importance of economic empowerment of women. Ways to avoid partiality from society. Avoiding traditional myths of society. Ways to achieve prosperous society. Dr. K. Mangayarkarasi madam also insisted the students must know the fundamental rights and how to change the our mind from gender domination. Students are very much interested to attend this programme. They asked many doubts about rights and laws, for their doubts Mr. Madhivanan and Dr. K. Mangayarkarasi gave the explanation to the students.
