To create awareness about energy conservation among public

The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Ensav Club and NSS jointly organized a Energy Conservation Awareness Program on 15/12/2022 for public at Masagounden Chettipalayam, Coimbatore. The main objective of this program is to create the awareness about energy conservation, energy saving at home, LED lamp usage among public. The following topics were discussed with public.  
· Energy efficiency and conservation
· Energy saving potential
· Energy conservation in lighting system
· Star rating of electrical appliances
· Energy management system
Dr.S.Ravindran, AP (Sl.G) / Department of EEE, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology welcomed the gathering and deliberate the importance of energy saving. The NSS team of KPRIET sponsored the solar street light to the village and Ensav club of KPRIET sponsored the LED lamps to the village people. The incandescent lamps are identified and replaced by LED lamps in homes. The energy conservation week was celebrated through this awareness event.
