A clear Need for a space like CAREe is identified Creating a space like CAREe for faculty members to meet, ideate, brainstorm, debate, and co-create learning experiences is vital. At KPRIET this space can facilitate conversations on pedagogy, andragogy & heutagogy. Actively researching the psycho-socio aspects of education and creating a dialogue space for sharing the best practices among the teaching fraternity.
Spreading the LXD as a contagious wildfire to the rest of the faculty
Created greater empathy and awareness about the learners & themselves
Many of the participants felt that they are consciously thinking and empathizing with their learner's needs. Previously got hooked on the subject delivery but now thinking more about how to deliver it effectively and meaningfully.
The changing nature of student learning patterns, demands for a drastic shift in pedagogy, learning environments, teacher preparation, and facilities in engineering institutions. This learning experience design program is envisioned to bridge the skill gap in faculty members for creating safe & meaningful learning spaces. This program combines the power of experiential learning & humanistic skills for upskilling educators and thereby improving learning levels of engineering students.
Challenges Identified:
1. How to handle 60-70 student strength
2. How to tackle the space constraint in our classroom
3. How to apply LXD for analytical subjects
4. How to design for daily classes
5. Time constraints, how to manage or complete the syllabus within prescribed time, if we do activities
Program ended well.
