On the 16th of February 2023, a Debugging event was organised by  Fiestaa 23,Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and facilitated by Dr.A.C.Sumathi Head/AD and Coordinated by Dr.V.Vignesh Association Incharge coordinated the workshop for the students and faculties of KPRIET and other participants from other institutions.  Debugging is an programming event, which finds and resolves defects or problems within a computer program that prevent correct operation of computer software or a system. · Each team can have a maximum of two members. · Do not discuss any strategy or logic of the program during a live contest. · All Participants are expected to abide by the rules & regulations of the contest. · Any Violation of the Rules & Regulations shall lead to the cancellation of the candidature from the competition. · In case of any conflict, the decision of jury panel will be final. There are two rounds, Preliminary Round - 15 minutes · A set of 5 questions will be given with some syntactical errors. · Points will be awarded for debugging each error. · Total points will be evaluated upon the correctness of the submitted program/programs. · Duration of the round will be 30 minutes. Final Round - 30 minutes · A set of 2 questions will be given to each candidate. · Points will be awarded for solving each question as per given input and output pattern. · Your code will be evaluated depending upon the correctness of the code, time complexity and space complexity. · Duration of the round will be 15 minutes. The names of the winners were announced at the end of the ceremony. The Head of the department                                                                                                                                                    motivated the students by providing them with certificates and prize money. The first-place winner received a certificate and Rs. 1500/- in prize money, while the second-place winners received Rs. 1000/-. The debug competition resulted in students who were very responsive, well-prepared, enthusiastic, and followed the rules. The level of competition was kept on par with competitive exams to assist students in their academic careers and future job opportunities. The students appreciated the department's efforts to broaden their knowledge and learning Overall 76 students(38 teams) were participated from different departments and from different institutions. This workshop was a good learning experience for the participants. They had the opportunity to familiarize themselves in the recent trends in Industry. The debugging coordinator was Mr.PremKumar Assistant Professor and was assisted by Mr.Thilakeswaran from III AD. The workshop convener was Dr.V.Vignesh, Asso.Prof. cum Association Incharge.
