Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering with office of alumni relations organises alumni lecture series 5 on demystifying blockchain technology. Resource person of the lecture series in Ms.K.Renuka (2017 - 2021 ), System Engineer, Wipro, Chennai. Dr.B.Jaishankar, professor /ECE, Welcomed the resource person and the gathering for the lecture series. Ms. Renuka explained what is blockchain technology. The current era of newly evolving technologies facilitate human being for rapid move towards digital pathway for quotidian personal and business deeds. She discussed about the recording transactions and tracking assets in business networks. She elaborated the importance of blockchain and their key elements with examples. she discussed that Blockchain has become the standard and perfect technology for delivering and distributing the information in the easiest way because it provides instant, mutual and entirely crystal clear information stored on an immutable ledger that can be accessed only by consented network members. The major objective of Blockchain Technology is to permit digital information to be recorded and distributed. She discussed the skillsets and jobscope to enter blockchain world and the changing economic and job-oriented scenario around the globe after the introduction and deployment of Blockchain technology.
The lecture series presented a critical and influential impact of Blockchain. She also suggested few online courses which would be useful for students to understand about blockchain. she concluded with smart contract examples and blockchain applications.
