The Indian Geotechnical Society aims at promoting co-operation amongst engineers and scientists for the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in the fields of Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering, Soil Dynamics, Engineering Geology, Rock Mechanics, Snow and Ice Mechanics and allied fields and their practical applications.

To act as a common forum for academicians, research workers, designers, construction engineers, equipment manufacturers and others interested in geotechnical activity

Mission

  • Organising Workshop, Webinar, Hands-on-Training, etc.,
  • Involve our Students in National level events like Conferences, Symposia, etc.,
  • Providing opportunity to do consultancy works

Objectives

All members are entitled to participate in the meeting / symposia / conferences / seminars of IGS Student Chapter and receive publications of the chapter. The members can attend the seminars, short term courses and conferences organized by IGS Student Chapter
