Summary

Department of Chemical Engineering organised a webinar on Simulation Tools and their Applications in Chemical Industries on 22.02.2024 between 2.00 - 3.30 pm in Chemical Engineering Department Elective Classroom. Resource person for the webinar is Dr. C. Gomadurai, Associate Professor, Chemical Engineering department, Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai, Erode. He is having more than 15 years of teaching experience, guided many projects, published many papers in international journals which makes him eligible to be a resource person for this webinar. Dr. E, Nakkeeran , Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, KPRIET and Dr. G. Surendran, Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, KPRIET are the convener's of the event. Around 90 chemical engineering students and 7 faculties attended the event , and got use of it. Resource person started the session from the definition of simulation, tools available and then slowly got into the applications area , which made the students to get more adaption towards the event. He highlighted more technical aspects in the webinar which makes it quite interesting. Finally, students raised some doubts and it got clarified by the resource person. Ms. Umamaheswari, III year student, welcomed the resource person for the event and also provided the vote of thanks.
