Through career development, student can learn more about who they are, what they enjoy doing, and what they are best at. Many college students experience disappointment because they may not understand how their training relates to their long-term objectives. The importance of career planning and development is conveyed to students through this activity.

Summary

On 17th February 2024, the Department of Civil Engineering at the KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology had conducted a Career guidance program topic on “why career is important?”. This program's key objective is to make student aware of the importance of career growth and how to become a successful entrepreneur in the future. Through career development, students can better understand who they are, what they enjoy doing, and what they are best at. Through this activity, students are taught the importance of career planning and growth, with the main objective being to make them aware of the purpose of career planning. Students received knowledge on the importance of entrepreneurship, leadership qualities, and choosing career fields. They have the capacity to develop themselves and get ready to manage an organization and all of its uncertainties in order to make it successful. The event was primarily targeted to school students who all aspire to become successful career path in the future.70 students participated in total, and at the end of the session, an exercise was conducted to assist the students to learn more about themselves.
