Aspen Plus is a process modeling tool used for process monitoring, optimization and conceptual design, especially by chemical process industries. Student will able to model the most common unit operations of a chemical plant setup a simulation, run it, get design parameters, optimize and get results. AP is a software that will allow the user to build a process model and then simulate it using complex calculations for models, equations, math calculations, regressions. Professor Reddy explained about the what is simulation and how it can be used in various industries. He explained about the various steps involved for the simulation. Professor Reddy simulated by taking one of the practical problems of Heat exchanger. By using the Aspen plus software lot of processes which can be modeled. Almost more than 50 students were participated either physical or online mode in the online webinar. Its only a beginning of Aspen plus and further he assure that will take the complicated real problems in near future. The webinar went almost 90 minutes. Finally M/s.
