Industry expert talk on “The Metaverse Animation Odyssey: Blending Real and Virtual Worlds with AR/VR”

The Department of Information Technology at KPRIET organized a webinar titled 'The Metaverse Animation Odyssey: Blending Real and Virtual Worlds with AR/VR ' on August 25, 2023 between 5:00 PM and 6.00 PM.

Ms. R. Janani from 1st year B.Tech IT delivered the welcome address and introduced the guest speaker to the participants. The invited speaker for the session is Mr. K. Dandapani, Centre Head, MAAC@KPRIET, Coimbatore.

During the session, Mr. K. Dandapani Started with overview of Meta verse, Virtual world, Avatars and its applications such as Building construction, EPIC games, Medical Industry, Bi-medical Engineering and Automobile Sector etc.,

 

He illuminated that Student needs 50% coding and 50% design skills to become expert in this field. He quoted that in next two years AR/VR will be fully launched.

 

Further, he explained 3D animation which is base for AR/VR and its applications. He also Highlighted that upcoming Trends in this field, including Extended Reality (ER), Mixed Reality (MR), and Meta verse (MV).

 

At the end, Dr.R.Logesh Babu AP(SlG) concluded the session with vote of thanks.
