Students designed the pump components using solidworks software.
The EKKI KPRIET International Water Technology Centre (EIWTC) and departmet of electrical and electronics engineering jointly organized a hands-on workshop on “Mastering the Pump Design with Solidworks” on 07/02/2024. A heart-warming welcome was delivered by Prof.B.Lalitha, AP (Sr.G). Prof.V.Bhuvaneswari, AP (Sl.G)/Mech has delivered valuable hands-on presentation on the following topics
• Basics of solidworks software
• Introduction to elements of pump
• Design tools
• Design of pump components
• Submersible pump components
• Development of pump components
The hands-on program provided the experience on installation of solidworks software, elements and tools usage, 2D design, pump components design and application of solidworks software. The organizer of the program Prof. C.J. Vignesh, Assistant Professor(Sr.G), Prof. B.Lalitha, Assistant Professor (Sr.G) and Dr.V.Bhuvaneswari, Assistant Professor (Sl.G), Department of Mechanical Engineering made all the necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the program. The program was concluded with the feedback session and certificate distribution to the participants.The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof.B.Lalitha, AP (Sr.G)/EEE. There were 10 students and 05 faculty actively participated the programme and get benefited.
