The Department of Civil Engineering organized an industry guest lecture on 'Construction Project  Management - Dos and Don't of Site Practices' on 1st March, 2024. The event offers a unique opportunity to gain invaluable insights from seasoned professional Er. Jeyachandran, SVP Marutham Groups in the construction industry.

Dr. S. Jeyachandran, Senior Vice President, Marutham Group, Chennai has accepted our invitation to be the resource person and deliver the lecture for our students.  In his presentation he addressed all the major facets of Construction Project Management including project initiation and planning, scheduling techniques, organizing methods, controlling process and resource allocation. He also discussed the software tools involved in the construction scheduling process and the importance of using the software tools for the accurate estimation of all kinds of resources for a project. From the initial planning stages to project execution and beyond, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies involved in successfully managing construction projects. He also discussed on the latest emerging technologies in civil engineering. Resource person also clarified the doubts raised by students and interacted with them.
