Mentoring towards higher education in NITTTTR and NITs and IITs.

The programme was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering in Association with Office Alumni Relations. Alumni students Ms. Parkavi and Mr. Elangovan clarified the doubts asked by the aspiring students of Civil Engineering. Alumni students shared their experience regarding GATE exam preparation. Also they informed about the facilities available in NITTTR and NIT, Calicut.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination conducted in India that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science for admission into the Masters Program and Job in Public Sector Companies.
A good GATE score is helpful for getting admission in to IITs, IISC, IIITs, NITs and many other renowned institutions. GATE qualification is also a minimum requirement to apply for various fellowships awarded by many Government organizations like DRDO, BARC, ISRO etc.
However, in general, the salary range can vary from 9 lakhs to 32 lakhs per year. If you have a dream of getting such a job, then by cracking the GATE exam you can fulfill your dream.
Even if a score is valid only for three years after it has been declared, there is no age limit or restriction on how many attempts are there for GATE exams. A candidate can appear unlimited times for the GATE exams.
