In India the birthday of the second president Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, 5 September, is celebrated as Teachers' Day since 1962, while Guru Purnima has been traditionally observed as a day to worship teachers/gurus by Hindus. The theme for World Teachers' Day 2022 is “The Transformation of Education Begins with Teachers.”
On this special day we came up an exciting event to showcase their talents and to relax them with having a fun event that is Dialogue contest. Great dialogue is one of the great pleasures of the movies, and it is often one of the most memorable elements of a film. While film dialogue carries less story weight than theatre dialogue, it is still a major part of scene construction. Like the scene itself, dialogue has several specific functions in the screenplay. Its primary function is dramatic, that is, to carry the story forward. Characters speak because they need something and saying something will help them get it. In practice that is never as simple as it seems. Dialogue will reveal character, both in what is said and how it is said. The dialogue will reveal immediate needs and desires, but it also reveals background, education, social class, and a host of other attributes. The interplay between the characters will reveal their relationship and power balance.
Faculty members delivered dialogue in their own way to impress the juries. Around 45 no’s of faculty members actively participated in the dialogue contest. Winners from each department is honoured with memento and certificates.
