Introduction:

On 12th November 2024, regarding IEEE IES day, the IEEE IES Student Branch Chapter of KPRIET conducted the Inauguration of our student branch chapter with insightful seminar on “Industry 4.0: Role of Automation Engineer”. The session was aimed at focusing on the current trends in Industry 4.0 and the stepping stones for the Industry 5.0. The events held from 10.00 A.M. to 12.30 P.M. with Mr.Sivakumar K. as the resource person.

Speaker Profile:

Mr. Sivakumar K. currently serves as the Executive Research and Development Engineer at Cotton Spintronic, Texservices, Coimbatore, where he has been making significant contributions since March 2022.

Event Overview:

The Inauguration took place at Jasmine Hall within the KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET) campus from 10:00 A.M. IST. The event was open to students who promote team work and with problem solving skills. The event was coordinated Adhithya A., Chair of IEEE IES Society, Sanjay Ragukumar, Secretary of IEEE IES Society, Prashant Iyer G., Execom of IEEE IES Society with strategic insights and support provided by our faculty advisors Dr. Chandrika V. S., Professor/EEE, IEEE KPRIET IES Advisor and Dr. Saravanan G., AP( Sl.G.) / EEE, IEEE KPRIET IES Advisor.  

 Key Highlights of the Session:

1.Inauguration:

The Event Started with the Inauguration of our IEEE IE Student Branch Chapter by the chief Guest handing us the Approval Letter from the IEEE. Then we disclosed our SBC Advisors, members and their designations.

2.Engaging Opening:

The seminar began with a warm welcome from the coordinators, followed by an introduction to the theme, Industry 4.0: Role of Automation Engineer. Attendees were provided with an overview of the session's objectives, setting the tone for an interactive and insightful discussion.

3.Focus on Student Welfare:

The seminar emphasized the importance of equipping students with knowledge about Industry 4.0 and automation. It highlighted how these advancements can enhance career opportunities, inspire innovative thinking, and prepare students to meet the demands of future industries effectively.
